Enfield Vision

Founded to promote the wellbeing of visually impaired people living in Enfield.

Monthly Forum Meeting

We organise Forum meetings, where Visually Impaired People, their families and carers listen to speakers, discuss common issues and benefit from mutual support.  We meet regularly on the the first Monday in each Month at Park Avenue Disability Resource Centre, 65c Park Avenue, Bush Hill Park, Enfield, EN1 2HH.  Our meetings are from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and we have speakers on topics of wide interest.

Enfield Vision's Forum meetings are open to anyone wishing to attend.  Why not join us on these days?

The bus stop close by is known as the ‘Saint Stephen's Church’ stop and is serviced by the 329 and W8 bus routes.  Bush Hill Park railway station is a short walk from the Centre.  We are sometimes able to arrange transport to these meetings; please telephone the office for availability.

Forum meeting date schedule:

Drop-in Morning

We hold an informal Drop-in Morning between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm on the third Thursday in each month.  These sessions are also held at the Park Avenue Disability Resource Centre, Bush Hill Park.

Please come for a chat with refreshments provided and seated keep fit exercise by a qualified fitness reflexologist.  You are very warmly welcomed, no appointment needed.

A member of the Sensory Impaired Team from London Borough of Enfield is present to provide specialist advice, urgent response to Visually Impaired people's queries, and further assessment.

Annual Focus Day

Once a year in late summer or early autumn we hold a daytime event for visually impaired people to provide them with a chance to access information on equipment, gadgets and services which are available in the London Borough of Enfield.  This event is open to anyone with an interest in the wellbeing of visually impaired people living in Enfield.

Annual General Meeting

Each year's formal AGM is held in the Park Avenue Disability Resource Centre during one of our Monthly Forum Meetings.  If you would like copies of the minutes and reports, please contact the office.

If you have any queries about meetings, transport, non-printed media (i.e. Braille or tape), or any other topic you think we could help you on, please contact us.  We rarely have to change a meeting or Drop-in date, but please check with us first to avoid disappointment.
